About UnClaimedX

What we do

UnClaimedX is India’s first digital inheritance infrastructure, built to prevent financial assets from becoming unclaimed. We are the bridge generation layer connecting the physical legacy of the past with the fragmented digital assets of the future. Our first product, Pass Down, is a zero-knowledge encrypted vault where a person records what they own and who should receive it, so their family is never left searching. Available on the App Store and Google Play.

Prevention, not recovery

Recovery tools help families search for assets they already suspect exist, which begins only after wealth has become unclaimed. UnClaimedX works at the other end. Documenting assets and nominees during a person’s lifetime is what stops a bank deposit, insurance policy, mutual fund folio or provident fund balance from being lost in the first place.

The scale of the problem

Unclaimed wealth in India stands at approximately ₹1.84 lakh crore as of October 2025, across bank deposits reported by the RBI, insurance with IRDAI, provident fund balances with EPFO, and shares and dividends transferred to the IEPF. This is an accumulated figure built over decades, not an annual loss, and it continues to grow. Most countries publish no equivalent data, and those that do usually cover selected departments only, which is why UnClaimedX estimates the worldwide total exceeds $3 trillion.

Privacy and security

UnClaimedX operates on a privacy-first, zero-knowledge mandate. Vault contents are encrypted on the user’s device before they leave it, protected with bank-grade encryption in transit and at rest, and stored on India-based servers. The key is split and held in separate places, so no single party holds enough to reconstruct it, including our own engineers and servers. Designed with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act in mind. We do not sell, share or monetise personal data, and we build no behavioural or targeting profiles. Consent is required for all data access and withdrawal is immediate.

What we are not

We are a non-custodial technology provider, distinct from custodial financial institutions. We do not hold, move, store or disburse funds at any stage. We do not provide financial advice, investment recommendations or advisory services. We are a private company, not a government service. Anything owed to a family settles directly between that family and the institution. Pass Down is currently available to Indian residents.
